The Committee will be called the HLC Working Group. It is authorized by the Provost and may only be dissolved by the Provost or President. The Director of Accreditation, Program Review, and Assessment (APRA) will chair the Working Group with the Assistant Director of Enrollment Services and Academic Strategic Planning serving as Chair in their absence.
The Working Group will meet weekly in the Fall 2023 semester, starting the week of Aug. 31. The Working Group may also hold additional meetings as needed, including in Spring 2024.
The Working Group is created for the purpose of working together as a team to collect evidence in support of MSU’s Reaffirmation of Accreditation with the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and will limit its activities to matters that directly concern this effort. It is the role of the Working Group Members to serve as advocates and ambassadors for the HLC reaffirmation.
The working group will consist of 36 members and reviewers. Members and reviewers will be invited to serve and will be provided digital access to needed resources by the Director of APRA. The term of membership will last for two academic years. Terms will begin on August 31, 2023. Permanent members of the HLCWG are the Director of APRA and the Assistant Provost of Enrollment Services and Academic Strategic Planning.
