Kyle Sabin is the FERPA Compliance Officer within the Accreditation, Assessment, Curriculum and Compliance unit in the Office of the Provost. Kyle ensures that the University fulfills its obligations under FERPA, which is a federal law that grants students certain rights over their education records. He manages FERPA record requests, the record amendment process, consults with University partners to ensure their processes are FERPA compliant, and implements FERPA training for students, faculty, and staff.
Kyle has ten years of experience in higher education, and worked at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before joining Michigan State University in 2016. He has his Bachelor’s degree in Music from The College of New Jersey, and a Masters of Education in College Student Affairs from Rutgers University.
